Canada/Saskatchewan: T-Rex Discovery Center

The T-Rex Discovery Center is a massive modern state-of-the-art museum in the complete middle of nowhere in the southern Saskatchewan. Why is it here? The Frenchman River Valley nearby is the site where many Dinasaur fossils have been found, including a large skeleton of a T-Rex. This Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton was first discovered in 1991 by a school teacher hiking around. It took 20 years to unearth all the parts of the skeleton. By 2011, a complete skeleton was recovered, 65% of it. The T-Rex was named Scotty and it is the largest and oldest and best preserved skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus rex ever found in the world! It is estimate to have weighed 8870 kg, 13.2 m long and age of over 30 years. The museum has many exhibits and also a complete cast of the massive dinosaur, as well as many others found in the area.
