Canada/AB: Jasper NP – Elk
Yet another big mammal at Jasper National Park – elk. Second largest member of the deer family, elks can be found only in North America and Northeast Asia. They don’t live in Europe, and what they call “elk” in Europe – are actually moose. Elk are plentiful in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, coming out in early morning and evening to now grass, often very close to the roads.
