Canada/Nunavut: Spectacular Arctic Sunsets
Arctic sunsets are truly spectacular – crisp near-freezing air is crystal clear and the sun takes a very long time to get down below the horizon (sunset is around 11pm and getting noticeably later every day). The sky, the snow, the ice, the water – all lit up with fifty shades of reds and orange. And then later even after the sun has set, the sky still glows red almost until 1-2am.
