Canary Islands: Mountains of Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria like all the other Atlantic islands rises steeply in the middle to over 6k feet. Pozo de las Nieves is the highest point with spectacular panoramic 360 views. Another attraction is Roque Nublo which is featured on most Canaria brochures. Then there is the village of Tejeda with it Cruz de Tejeda (stone cross) and views out west toward the island of Tenerife. I got lucky with a good day, usually this is all covered in clouds.
