Catalonia: Barcelona – Hop-on Hop-off Bus
Really, it isn’t my idea of exploring the city by the tourist hop-on-off bus, but since not much left unexplored in Barcelona – why not! There are two circular routes that originate at Plaza Catalunya. One goes south to the beaches and then up to Parc Guell, the other one goes west to Montjuic Hill and the Camp Nou football arena. As a means of transportation between the sites – it’s slow and inefficient, as subway is faster and cheaper. As a means of seeing a lot in one day – it’s ok only if you never hop off the bus, since when you return – there will be no place on the open rooftop. So if you stay on the bus – you see (or more like get a glimpse of) all the major Barca attractions. But don’t expect quality sightseeing or good picture taking ops. But it’s an adventure of sorts nonetheless!
