Catalonia: Barcelona – O Retorno Group Restaurants

Barcelona is a foodie paradise, and we discovered another restaurant family that is truly mind-blowing – O Retorno. There are seven restaurants in total, all within just a few blocks of L’Example neighborhood – O’Retorno, O’Retorno 2, O’Retornino, O’Retornino 2, Porvenir, Maxi, and Appalooza. All five are pulperias, focusing on Galician cuisine – octopus is the main dish on the menu, but there is plenty of amazing shellfish, fish, and meats. We tried 4 of the 7 restaurants. Portions are huge, and you can order 1/2 and 1/4, but the prices for smaller portions drop by only about 10-20% so you gotta go for full! Without a doubt – this is the best octopus in Spain or perhaps the world!
