Catalonia: Sitges
Sitges is a coastal town located about 40 km southwest of Barcelona along the Mediterranean Sea. Often dubbed the “Saint-Tropez of Spain,” it’s renowned for its beautiful beaches and historic attractions. The main promenade Passeig Marítim is lined with palm trees, cafes, and stunning views. The main attraction here is the iconic Church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla dating back to 1317, perched dramatically on a rocky promontory known as La Punta, jutting into the Mediterranean Sea. Just steps away from the church, behind it, is the spectacular Palau de Maricel, built between 1910–1918. And a fiery sunset to top it al l off!
