Chile: Cerro Pintados Geoglyphs
Cerro Pintados Geoglyphs is a large group of drawings on the hills in the heart of the inhospitable Atacama Desert. Lack of rain has preserved these drawing for centuries, many date to around 1000 AD. Cerro Pintados Geoglyphs is the largest geoglyph collection in the South America, there are over 400 images of animals, birds, humans and geometric patterns spread over red-brown hills.
