Beijing’s Quianmen Pedestrian Street has history spanning more than 500 years, its origins date back to the Ming Dynasty when it served as a bustling market street. The buildings have been meticulously restored and walking the street immerses you completely into the classic Qing dynasty Chinese architecture – ornate brick facades, intricate wood carvings, and lots of statues depicting traditional city life and vendors. The shops are overloaded with food offerings, souvenirs, jewelry, and art.
