China: Harbin – Central Street at Night
At night, Harbin’s historic central street gets all lit up with all the historic buildings fully Illuminated. Originally laid out in 1898, the cobblestone avenue is flanked by beautifully preserved buildings showcasing a blend of European architectural movements, including Baroque, Renaissance, Eclecticism, and Art Nouveau. Seemingly every second store is selling Russian-made or Russian-themed good – candies, chocolate, vodka. A lot of vodka. And a lot of Russian tourists around as well.
