China: Xi’an – Fountain Show at Giant Wild Goose Pagoda

Having seen the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda on a previous visit to Xi’an, it was the world-famous musical fountain and light show that we were after. It is one of the largest in Asia, covering approximately 20,000 sq m of water area. The performance is a carefully choreographed water ballet to classical music and uses thousands of nozzles and synchronized LED lights. Water jets reach up to 60 m m, nearly matching the height of the 64.5-meter pagoda itself. There are multiple shows, but the very last one in the evening one is by far superior in the darkness! An absolute must see and experience! And it’s also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
