Cook Islands: Atiu – Tumanu Ceremony
The entire population of Atiu is 400 people. And every night a Tumanu ceremony is held, where people are getting together and drinking homemade orange-based brew of beer/wine. Small shot glasses made from coconut shells go around the table with the star fruit used as chasers. The process continues deep into the night until the fairly large barrel of the brew is finished. Then everyone drives home (drunk driving is actually legal).
