Costa Rica: Curicancha Cloud Forest Reserve
Adjacent to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is the Curicancha Cloud Forest Reserve, equally rich in biodiversity and protecting pristine primary forest. In some ways, this one was even more impressive – it has a large number of truly humongous fig trees, several open areas with more birdies ha and mammal visibility, and a great variety of flora. True to its name, the cloud forest was shrouded in fog and intermittent rain.
