Crete: Rethymno
Réthymno was my favorite town on the island of Crete – smaller then Heraklion and Chania and without massive crowds, while with many more historical attractions and Venetian architecture. It was originally one of the major towns of the Minoan civilization but was later entirely rebuilt by the Republic of Venice.
