Croatia: Pula – Roman Arena
Pula is the town on the tip of Istria peninsula and boasts several roman ruins, none more spectacular than a giant Amphitheater / Arena. It was build between 27 BC and 68 AD (nuts!) and is incredibly well preserved. While Rome and Verona arenas are much better known, the one in Pula is easily as if not more grand.
