Czech Republic: Ceske Budejovice
Ceske Budejovice was founded in the 13th century and preserves to this day a beautiful Namesti Square in its heart (which is absolutely square in shape). On all four sides – there are beautiful colorful baroque buildings including the ornate Townhall, and in the middle of the square stands the famous Samson’s Fountain. There are two magnificent churches and the 73m/238ft high Black Tower with an observation platform on top with unparalleled views of the town and square below.
