Czech Republic: Litomerice
Litomerice is a small but insanely beautiful town in the north-western Bohemia, in the area known as the “garden” of Czech Republic for its fertile lands and wineries in the area. The town’s old historic core towers above the surrounding planes and is centered around a beautiful square (Cathedral Square) packed with incredibly picturesque historic buildings on all four sides – baroque St Stephens Cathedral, Bishop’s Residence, All Saints Church, Lady Day Church, and loads of stunning townhouses. There is also a very ornate Black Eagle House! The best part – you can sit at any of the restaurants right on the square and enjoy the virtual medieval 360 as you sip on a local wine.
