Devon Island: Ice Beach at Dandas Harbor
The hike over the desolate tundra landscapes of Devon Island ended on an absolutely surreal ice covered beach in front of a still ocean expanse. The sun was semi-hidden behind thin clouds and allowed for the blues of the icebergs to come out. This was like some fairytale playground to climb and explore around the giant slabs of ice (although I did get yelled at for doing that and also separating from the group in a bear territory – but you gotta take risks to experience and see cool things!).
