Djibouti: Panorama Point & Fumaroles
A ridge separates the Gulf of Tadjoura from the Lake Assal (the latter is actually 155m below the former). The ridge is volcano in nature and besides the panoramic views from the top offers a closer look at many volcanic features like fumaroles and steam vents and lava tubes. This is also the spot where the tectonic plates of Asia and Africa are being torn apart and there are cracks and fissures everywhere, and you can literally stand on two plates at the same time.
