Ecuador: Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve – Hummingbirds
Over 20 species of hummingbirds (or colibris as they are known in most other countries). One can watch these for hours as they hover in mid air and buzz your face within just inches. There is one species – last pics – that doesn’t even land but hovers non-stop at 70 wing flips per second, buzzing like a giant bee.
