Ecuador: Laguna Quilotoa

Laguna Quilotoa is a lake filling a sunken caldera of a volcano along the Andean range in the central Ecuador. The volcanic top collapsed onto itself about 800 years ago and the lake filled the cavity. The lake is extremely picturesque, with jagged rim and deep blue waters in the middle.
