Ecuador: Quito – Historic City Center
Quito is the capital of Ecuador and the second highest capital city in the world (after La Paz) at an elevation of 9350 feet. The historic center is the best preserved in Americas and was the first place to be named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Multiple ornate churches and cathedrals and squares along winding cobblestone streets make for great exploration.
