Ecuador: Refugio Paz de las Aves – Flora

Refugio Paz de las Aves is located at around 1,900 m f elevation in the western Andean foothills. The cloud forest is perpetually in mist, and the vegetation includes dense undergrowth, epiphytes (like orchids and bromeliads), moss-covered trees, and a variety of tropical and subtropical plants that support its rich biodiversity. We spotted quite a few speculations orchid species – from large and showy to small and delicate.
