Brazil: Rio de Janeiro – Corcovado Christ the Redeemer

The Giant statue of Christ the Redeemer became of the new Seven Wonder of the World. It stands on top of the Corocovado Mountains looming high over the Rio de Janeiro. The statue was built between 1922 and 1931, and is over 30 meter/90 feet high with arm outstretched wide. It gets crowded here especially at sunset as the view of the city below is beyond surreal.
