Ethiopia: Addis Ababa – Lada Taxis

All the taxis in Addis Ababa are old Soviet Ladas, Lada 1200 to be exact, or the export version of the VAZ 2101 “Kopeika”. Speaking to taxi drivers – the car is total crap, but the parts and repairs are very cheap. It’s like I stepped back into the childhood!
