Ethiopia: Awash NP – Hyena Hill
Awash National Park has loads of animals to explore and see in game drives (following posts), but a more peculiar attraction is the Hyena Hill. The hill is basically a location of a large den of the spotted hyenas. As the sun sets beautifully behind the mountain range in the east, hyenas walk out of their den one by one and lay in the sand. One, two, three, five, dozen…. until the whole pack is out, the night falls, and they go on hunting
