Ethiopia: Southern Nations – Key Afer Animal Market
While the main market brings together women from three different tribes selling various foods and vegetables, the men’s even is on the other side of town at the animal market. Cows, sheep, and goats and brought and dragged here into a dusty walled compound where all the trading happens. Some bulls are humongous with massive horns and humps on the back – many have made a long journey to the market from their tribal pastures hundreds of kilometers away.
