Faroe Islands: Torshavn
Torshavn is the capital city of the Faroe Island, with over 30% of the country’s population residing here. The name means Thor’s Hammer after the Nordic god. The town is still rather small with a nice harbor area and the nearby Tinganes – a cluster of old Faroese buildings with turf roofs. The country’s second oldest cathedral is also here. As is the neverending rain.
