Fiji: Nadi – Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Temple
Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Temple is the largest Hindu temple in the Pacific. Nadi has a majority indo-fijean population, and the country as a whole has 38% descendants of Indians Bought here by the British as construction workers in the 19th century. The temple is ultra ornate with a lot of figures and dancing gods and goddesses – the artists who decorated the temple in its colors and and impressive ceiling frescoes were flown from India.
