France: Blois Royal Chateau
Blois has been the residence of several French kings from 14th to 18th century. The castle is located at the highest point in the city commanding views all around. It is an urban castle rather than one with a large land estate, it incorporates itself into the town structure of residences and cathedrals, yet it is still a formidable structure with a massive main building and a large square at the back side of it. The chateau has 564 rooms and 75 staircase and every room has a fireplace.
