France: Paris – Cathedrale de Notre Dame de Paris
Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral is the most important and famous cathedrals in France and was founded 1163 by King Louis IX. The cathedral is a classic example of high Gothic style with soaring spires and hundreds of gargoyles. The facade is particularly impressive with many detailed and ornate sculptures. The vaulted ceilings and the stained glass windows are equally stunning inside.
