France: Paris – The Louvre
The Louvre is perhaps the most famous and well-known art museum in the world. Formerly the residence of the French kings, it now hosts one of the biggest collections of art in the world – over 30,000 pieces from antiquities to 19th century. The museum’s most famous piece is the Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vince (behind the glass protection, it is swarmed with people). The building itself is grand and spectacular and a glass pyramid in the courtyard serves as the museum’s entrance.
