French Guiana: Cayenne
Cayenne is the capital of the French Guiana (or Guyenne in French). Nice waterfront (but no good beaches), large square Place de Palmistes with palm trees and monuments, a central church, a hilltop fort, and some colonial building – are the attractions. Everything was shut down for the Armistice holiday sans a couple nice bistroes serving great French food
