Gambia: Crossing the Gambia river from Barra to Banjul

Gambia is the smallest county in continental Africa, it basically straddles the mighty Gambia river cutting Senegal in half. Banjul, the country’s capital is located on the southern bank of the river right at the Atlantic Ocean. Taking a ferry from Barra in the north to Banjul is almost an hour long adventure – the river is this wide.
