Georgia: Gelati Monastery

Gelati Monastic Complex s one of the biggest in Georgia and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Gelati was founded in 1106 and was a cultural center of Georgia for centuries with many burials and manuscripts preserved within its walls. The murals and frescoes on the walls are amazingly well-preserved and are stunning.
