Germany: Augustusburg Palace in Bruhl
Augustusburg Palace is a large palace and garden complex in the heart of the small town on Bruhl. Built by the archbishop of Cologne and designed mostly by French architects and landscapers, the palace features ornate exterior and extensive gardens in front of it. It’s another UNESCO World Heritage site, but to be absolutely honest it doesn’t compare well against the French palaces and chateaus both in terms of being spectacular and the garden upkeep.
