Germany: Berchtesgaden
A beautiful mountain village in the Bavarian Alps – a finger of Germany sticking into Austria. The town sits on a mountain slope above a river valley below – the views are panoramic and expansive. Former Hitler’s bunker is visible on a mountain top across the valley. The town has a lot of beautifully painted historical building as well as Royal Palace and several gothic churches.
