Germany: Fritzlar
Fritzlar is probably the prettiest town in Germany (from what I’ve seen). It’s medieval core is surrounded by a wall with almost all remaining defensive towers including the Grey Tower which is the highest remaining defensive tower in Germany (and you can climb to the top for a panoramic view). The little town has many well-preserved half-timbered houses that are purely stunning and a total eye-candy, especially around the central market square. There is one house that looks almost like a gingerbread house being so crooked. There is also a medieval 13th century gothic cathedral and an incredible townhall that is the oldest functioning townhall in Germany since 1109.
