Germany: Leer
Leer is a beautiful little town close to the Dutch border with awesome architecture and restaurants. The place was settled here as far back as 3200 BC, but mostly developed in the Middle Ages. Plenty of pretty narrow cobblestone streets and old buildings to explore, the city center, hang out in cozy cafes along the harbor quay to watch the colorful ships and boats on the Leda river running though the town.
