Germany: Oktoberfest ’14 – Inside the Lowenbrau Tent
Only beer brewed in Munich is allowed at the Oktoberfest and Lowenbrau is one of the six city breweries that is represented at the fair. Lowenbrau is one of the oldest breweries in the world, established in 1383. As such, it is one of the most desired tents to get in. Massive crowds form in front of the entrance and bouncers keep it in check. Even if you get past this – you will likely just drink outside the tent, as there is another cordon at the actual tent entrance. But if you are stubborn or have friends who know their way around – you can get inside, find a table, jump on it, and lift a one-liter glass of Lowenbrau Oktoberfest beer to the sky together with thousands of singing Germans and Oktoberfest revelers from all over the world! And then you scream “99 Luftbaloons” at the top of your lungs!
