Germany: Schloss Evenburg
Evenburg is a beautiful 17th century castle in a small town of Leer near the Dutch border. It was built in 1642-1650 by an officer in the Dutch military for his family and named after his wife, Eva. It was completely rebuilt in the mid 1800s in the classical architectural style. The castle is beautifully surrounded by water and moat and an extensive park.
