Denmark: Suhl – Fahrzeugmuseum Auto Museum
Don’t miss an awesome automotive history museum in Suhl – Fahrzeugmuseum Suhl. Loads and loads of meticulously restored cars and especially motorcycles are on display here (Suhl is famous in Germany for motor racing). There are a lot of antique cars manufactured at EMW – Eisenacher Motorenwerk. Before WWII, one of the BMW favored was located in Eisenstein, just 40km north of Suhl. When Germany was split into west and east, the factory became communist-controlled and renamed into EMW. In the 1950s, this factory began manufacturing Wartburg – the iconic car brand of GDR. A special hall is dedicated to Warburg cars, in an amazingly pristine condition, including GDR polizei vehicles and Wartburg convertibles.
