Ghana: Tamale – Red Barn Galleries
The northern Ghanaian city of Tamale is home to the Red Barn Galleries, an expansive space of modern art installations, owned and presented by the local Tamale artist, Ibrahim Mahama. Ibrahim is actually world-renown for his monumental art installations. In Tamale, he repurposed old airplanes, warehouse spaces and antiques to combine into large exhibits of art.
