Greenland: Nansen Bugt – Humpback Whales

We got treated to another whale-watching experience with humpback whales in the mirror-still waters of Nansen Bugt, again up close and personal. The whales were logging (slowly swimming at surface) and shallow-diving for food. So we a lot of puffs and backs and tail fins at enjoy. The bay’s cold ice-filled water create ideal conditions for plankton and small fish and whales come here to feed.
