Greenland: Flying over Disco Bay and Eqi Glacier
There are mostly no roads in Greenland – so you gotta fly to see stuff! Flying north on a scenic flight you fly over Disco Bay and the floating icebergs before entering a tributary of the Eqi Glacier. It’s a very active glacier spilling huge amount of ice and calving rapidly. If you go by boat you can get relatively close and see the ice calving, but this year it was still too much pack ice so no boat approach was possible, which left flying as the only option. Spectacular views of the fjord, the ice, and the wall of the glacier in all its glory!
