Greenland: Remote settlement of Kapidillit
Just to contrast the “city” life of Greenland’s capital Nuuk, here’s a very remote settlement of Kapidillit – it took two very rough hours by boats to get here. There are no roads and no airplanes, just fjord. The settlement of only 40 people, mostly fishermen and hunters, has houses perched on cliffs and mountains, no roads, no cars, but good cellular. Fish hangs on traditional wooden bars, there was a seal cutting table still fresh with blood, the views are insane anywhere you look. And there also was a church.
