Grenada: Levera Beach National Park – Turtle Watching
At Levera Beach National Park on the northern shore of Grenada it is possible to watch giant leatherback turtles come ashore and lay eggs. What’s more, the little baby turtles that have hatched during the previous day are released into the ocean. Only 1 in a 1000 of these baby turtles will survive to adulthood. Everything happens in the deep of the night way past midnight using the red light not to disturb the animals.
