Guadeloupe: Les Chutes du Carbet
Les Chutes du Carbet aka Carbet Falls are deep in the jungles of the Guadeloupe National Park and are often viewed as iconic on the island. It takes a hike to get to them, about an hour just to get to the third and lowest fall through mud and jungle. The First Cascade is 115 m (377 ft) tall, the Second Cascade is m (360 ft), and the Third Cascade is 20 m (66 ft). We only got to the third falls, and even that was really inaccessible in the end. But the hike was quite awesome – tall never logged jungle trees, tropical flowers, and jungle sound all around you.
