Guinea-Bissau: Boat Ride to Bijagos Island
The Bijagos Archipelago is a group of 88 islands and islets located off the coast of Guinea-Bissau. The islands are famous for stunning beaches and pristine nature and are an absolute must-see when visiting the country. Getting to the islands is not simple, most lodges do offer small boat rides, which are 2-3 hour long, and sometimes over rough waters. The boat leaves from the Bissau Port, several ships docked in there before getting into the open ocean on the way to islands.
