Guinea-Bissau cuisine really depends on where you eat. Simpler local places offer more traditional west-african cuisine with palm oil, cassava, rice, caldo branco, and fish. Restaurants in Bissau serve fantastic Portuguese dishes, especially octopus – absolutely to die for! The lodges in the Bijagos were more of seafood extravaganza with a a French twist – insane lobster and poisson cru.
